Mícheál Ó Cléirigh Virtual Summer School 2021
Thursday 6th May until Sunday 9th May
The theme of the 2021 Summer School was “Women in Turbulent Times Mná in Aimsir Chorraithe 1551- 1651” which examined the role women played in this century of Irish history. Their story was largely forgotten but more recent research into the period has revealed a story of women during this most turbulent time in Irish history. You can read more detail of the weekend talks on the Home page on this website.
The talks are available on the website for a short period of time see: Summer School 2021 Recordings on main menu.
We hope that this will go some way to give a flavour of what our Summer School weekend is like and look forward to May 2022 and will begin preparing for that Summer School later in September and we hope the successful rollout of the vaccine programme will allow us to hold it over a weekend in early May (exact dates to be confirmed) held in Rossnowlagh, Co Donegal. However owing to the success of the virtual talks this year we hope to keep some aspects of it with live streaming of some of the events.
